What we do

We believe that our customers should get the same level of response that we would want if we had the same problem, so our aim when called out to any rodent infestation: rats, mice or squirrels is to start off we a full survey of the building. We will follow that up with a CCTV survey of the drainage system should be think this is where the fault lies.

We aim to find the access point that the rats used to gain entrance, we will look to seal this as part of the treatment or in the event we discover a serious fault with the drains we can help you with a reputable repair company.

What we won't do

We will not resort to the use of poison unless the situation is very bad or there is absolutely no other method of control suitable, we often don't use any poison as we prefer to trap your rats and remove them from the property; no-one can predict where a poisoned rat will die and its extremely unpleasant when they die somewhere inside a house.

We don't carryout three treatments for a set price, leaving poison in your loft and dead rats in the cavity walls. We don't offer two for one deals or special seasonal offers as we think that sort of marketing is not appropriate for pest control.

We have rats in the loft how do they get up there?

Rats are very able climbers and they will use any gap that they can squeeze through to get into a building: a building offers warmth, protection and possibly a food supply so its in the animals interest to enter and explore the surrounds. Often its the cavity wall where there is a fault and once within the cavity its an easy climb for a rat to get up into the loft where its warm and dry.

We carryout a survey of the "building" so if its a semi-detached house then we look at both properties as you share that cavity wall, we track the rodents as they move using breakback traps to catch them. The benefit of this is firstly, we don't use poison, we can take out the dead rats and lastly we can see where they've been and work out the entrance point.

Once we know where the rats are getting in we can seal up the opening leaving you rat free - a much better prospect than just the use of poison!

If rats are in the drains then how do they get into the house from there?

Rats can squeeze through a gap the size of the end of your thumb, we often find that there's nothing wrong with a building externally so the point of ingress must be the drainage system. This has led us to invest in drain cameras and all our technicians can carryout a CCTV survey of your drains, through experience we have found a leading national company that we recommend for drain repairs.
